A person is selling sandwiches to office workers.  A friend comes along.

Hi!

Hi!  I hope to have my own sandwich shop soon.

Good luck.

At present I cannot afford to own a shop.  It is beyond my grasp.  The office workers need sandwiches so I grasped the chance. I bring my trolley.

You are selling many sandwiches. Good.

Smile!  Here comes the managing director!

I’ll move away for a while.

Come back for good news. She wants to shake hands with me.  Why should she want to grasp my hand? She is smiling!

What did the managing director want?

She is calling a meeting of the office workers today.

Well?

It is an emergency meeting and they need to stay late.  She will buy sandwiches for them.

So?

She wants me to come back at five o’clock.  I will grasp that opportunity, that chance.

Do you want me to help?  What a good opportunity.

Would you go to the caterer?  I buy sandwiches from him.

How much does he charge?

Too much.  He is a grasping, greedy fellow.

I am brave.  I will grasp the nettle, I will be bold and ask for a discount.  You are buying extra.

You have a good grasp of business!

Many ideas are beyond my grasp, many ideas are too difficult for me, but I do understand prices.

Sure!

I have a plan.  The managing director is pleased with you?
Yes!

Ask her if you could set up a sandwich bar in the entrance hall of the offices.

That would be like a little sandwich shop!

Why not? I will grasp this opportunity to make a business plan for you.  You can show it to her tomorrow.

I will ask her for an appointment.  At last!  Having a sandwich stall might be within my grasp.  Thanks.

Oh before I forget.  Tuna and sweet corn, please, in mine.
